SCNA is looking for a new assistant Junior Representative Junior coordinator for 2025 This is a volunteer role with SCNA. You would be looking after the under 14 and under 15 squads. You would be working with the under 11-13 squad coordinator and our Executive Representative coordinator. We are holding our annual Cystic Fibrosis fundraiser across round 9 of the Twilight Competition. 10th & 11th December All participants are invited to wear Christmas attire and donate generously: Purchase a Santa Hat Buy a cupcake Buy a raffle ticket Bring cash if you can We will also be running a cake stall and would appreciate any donations of cupcakes etc for the stall. Bring your donation on the day.

South Canberra Netball Association are offering a 3 week program aimed at players looking to extend their netball skills.  It will particularly cater for players who are interested in playing or are already playing in the Junior Representative teams for South Canberra. Players will need to be proficient in the basic skills of netball. Where: South Canberra Netball Courts, Makin St Deakin When: 17 October 2024 - 31 October 2024 Time: Thursday 5:30pm -7pm Cost: $60 per player Goals: This program aims to improve the speed, fitness and agility of all participants and to extend specific netball skills. Who:  Under 11s – born 2014-2015 Under 12s – born 2013 Under 13s – born 2012 Under 14s – born 2011 Under 15s – born 2010  This is a skills development program and participation in it does not guarantee selection in our Junior Representative Squads. We understand there may be other sporting activities running at the same time as trials. We have tried to take this into account. Every year SCNA participates in the ACT State League Championships. This Championship runs competitions for open Women's Division 1 and 2, under 19 women, under 17 women and open men. Our Program is well-organised, supported and focused giving our players the opportunity to train, develop and compete in a crucial part of the Netball ACT Pathway.  State League Key Dates: (these are subject to change) Trials end of November early December Squads will be announce in December 2024 following trials. Fitness training will begin in January 2025. (Not compulsory but players will be expected to be fit) Match play end of January early February (Compulsory) Training beginning in February 2025 Competition season commences in March and end in August 2025. Netball ACT are still finalising the details of the tournament. We are seeking energetic netball enthusiasts to support our Program as coaches for 2025. The season for 2024 has almost finished and SCNA had a very successful run at the ACT Junior Championships.  All our teams made the semi-finals in their divisions.  SCNA 13s Blue and SCNA 11s Gold were both winners in their divisions. SCNA 14s Gold, SCNA 15s Blue, SCNA 15s Gold were all runners-up in their divisions.   The season continues for the SCNA 13s Blue who are off to the NSW Junior State Championships this weekend! ​
